Views differ greatly when the issue comes to decision whether eating at food stations or restaurants is more preferable than preparing food at home, because it can be approached from several angles due to its complexity. On the one hand, some people tend to agree that eating at food station or restaurant is more convenient. On the other hand, others seem to believe that preparing and eating at home is healthier. I have developed my own point of view as well. I favor the later position that some people prefer to prepare and eat at home. The reasons and details will be shed light on in the following paragraphs to support my viewpoint.

To being with, the reason why I have such a viewpoint is that it’s more affordable. This is to say, it can save more money than eating at food stations or restaurants, because restaurants have extra charge for a service. To make the above statement more profound and comprehensive, I would like to cite a particular example. A plate of vegetables cost NT 180 to 250 at restaurants, but you can eat more than one plate with the same amount of money if you prepare it by yourself at home. Sometimes the food at restaurant comes with less weight, but the weight is under your control at home. Under this kind of circumstance we can’t deny that you can eat more at home than restaurants given the same money. This is a real experience of everyone as long as you have eaten out.

Next to go will be, it’s healthier. In other words, you may eat ingredients which are not fresh and will eat more seasoning than real food, because the chef wants to show the customers a good taste and perfect appearance. We can’t see the all cooking process. To further substantiate the view, let us focus on another momentous example. When we cook at home, we can make sure the food is clean enough. We usually wash vegetable for many times and prevent the meat from being away from fridge for too long. Besides, we can control the quantity of seasoning and add less salt and less oil into the food. To respond to this kind of situation, I take it for granted that preparing at home is much healthier than eating out. We can intake less seasoning and avoid the food made from non-fresh ingredients. Likewise, we can modulate the taste of food by ourselves. Therefore, we can eat healthily and happily at home.

In a nutshell, judging from what have been discussed above, there is no denying that the basis of experiences etched into my mind plays an essential role to support my opinion. Of course, I do not mean to suggest that my own point of view is unassailable. Nevertheless, my personal experience and actual observation of life have led me to conclude that my opinion is built in a solid foundation.
