I disagree with this opinion that traditional skills and ways of life should die out. The traditional skills are the basic ways for the technology. If without traditional skills, there will be no progress in technology. That is to say, the ancient life becomes a modern life that we live today. I think the traditional skills have its value to survive. My reasons are as follows.
First of all, traditional skills are the foundation for a country’s technology. A traditional skill also symbolizes a nation’s spirit and it means a country’s effort in the past. We know early people used the traditional skills to earn more money by themselves. They use the raw materials that they can find or already knew to make a living. For example, the weaving skill that is female’s professional skills in the past. They use their instinct to produce products such as bamboo that become a hand-made basket.
Secondly, the traditional skills play an important role for the later technology. Passing the traditional skills time, people learn from its disadvantages and then refine to technology nowadays. Cite the above example, the above-mentioned weaving skills evolves into machines instead of human labor, because we understand that the machine can produce more quantity and save more time than if mad by hand. The traditional skills give ideas of weaving to technology. As a result, the traditional skills are technology’s forerunner and the technology is an innovation.
Base on the two reasons, I believe that they can’t live without each other and they are important for a country. Countries need the traditional skills and technology, so we should keep them alive. For this reason, I assert the traditional skills should be reserved.

A gift (such as a camera, a soccer ball, or an animal) can contribute to a child's development. What gift would you give to help a child develop? Why?
I think a good development of a child's life means he has a good heart, a passion and responsible attitude. Thus, a child can have an independent and a healthy development. Therefore, the most appropriate gift is a pet. My reasons are as follows.
First of all, the child has to be responsible for the pet's life. He will know how to respect a life, even to collect information about the pet's everything by himself. Many books show how to feed a pet and teach owners how to tell a pet is sick. Then, a child will watch out for some rules of feeding a pet. For example, a dog can't eat chocolate, because it may lead to a death. Another, when a dog's nose is dry, it means the dog is sick. After knowing those attentions, the child will know how to look after the little life on his own.
Second, when the child interacts with the pet, he will learn how to get along with another one. Facing the pet is just like playing with a company, because they both have heart, brain and thinking. For instance, when people grab food from a pet, the pet will bark at you to express his anger. Just as children often fight with friends, because they snatch things from each other. Living with a pet is just like getting along with friends. It's needs passion, patience and concern. You treat them nice and they will live in peace with you. Good looks and dresses are more important for success than good ideas. Agree or disagree?
Good looks and dresses can leave good image and create a professional feel for people, therefore the most of companies require their employees wear a suit at work. Although good ideas is a good condition of work, a good appearance is the first step to achievement success. Therefore I agree with the statement. My reasons are as follows.
First of all, people are sensory animals, loves beauty. A good looks and dresses will deeper impression for the people who meet you at the first time. Not only products need a fine package but people also need a good looking. For instance, a start looks shining and beauty after dressing, in order to attract the attention of the audience and be known. After the step people will expect their works. People often believe the first image and this can also prove in a salesman. If a salesman looks clean and professional by the dress, it provide more persuasive to people willing listen to the description of products more than a salesman not looks good.
Second, the good looks also affect yourself at work, because if you feel yourself looks good or colleague praise you and the good mood will follow. We all know to keep a good mood will improve performance in the work. In addition, an appropriate dress can remind a person's attitude of work and then work harder. Therefore, I support the argument that computer have brought convenience to our life and made it easier than the past.

For instance, students can type essay and reports, add images to their work with computers. The software programs designed by computer programmers enable the systematic operation of business companies, process customers' orders in a quick fashion and to keep their records with a database, which can retrieve anytime. Besides, computers also serve construction companies to draw precise architectural blueprints. The build-in CD players also allow people to listen to music or watch movies on computers. Today computers are in use almost everywhere.
Second, the internet has greatly benefits to mankind with high-speed connection and multi-function. A computer connected to the internet, people can check news, weather, sports, etc. In addition, the search engines also enable people to carry out research from the internet. The internet not only can locate the information but also can make a reservation, booked the movie tickets, it saving a lot of time. To evaluate teachers by students

Nowadays many schools ask students to evaluate and criticize their teachers to improve the quality of education. Personally, I disagree with the statement because it is not objectiveness. Besides, such management will affect the quality of country's education in the end. My reasons are as follows.
First of all, if students are asked to perform the task of evaluation, backward students may attribute their poor performances to the incompetence of their teachers. They may shirk their responsibility for studying and blame for teachers. Nowadays it is common phenomenon that many teachers left their teaching jobs because of loss of motivation due to unfair commence from certain students. The evaluation system makes teachers loss of authority, especially those who misbehave in an intolerable way, who make teachers feel humiliate and incapable of maintaining the classroom order.
In addition, if students are asked to assess teachers, they may adopt a biased attitude towards some teachers and give negative comments on them. For example, a student given a fail grade due to poor performance in class or in exams and the student may hate his teacher and therefore takes the assessment to revenge himself on the teacher by giving him under-served negative comments. Currently in many schools, some teachers are worried about being revenged when it comes to evaluation. As a result, the assessment has led to a bad phenomenon among teachers, who will make every effort to win students' favor. Thus, teachers no longer devote themselves to teaching. From a perspective, this will definitely deteriorate the quality of a country's education.

I disagree with the statement that a person’s success in life can only be measured by money. Although we often judge people by their professions and how much money they earn, it doesn’t cover the whole story of success. My reasons are as follows.
First, a person make dreams come true also a performance of success. They hardly achieve the destination of life and get satisfaction through the process. The dreams not only earn much money, but maybe also is non-profit dreams. Such as being a pianist, singing in a choir and traveling to places. They possession of the goal is a success.
Second, a person who hard to open a business is more successful than one who simply be a successor from a successful parents. A person rise in life by his own efforts is not easy and he can learn more and more by the starting. The trouble and hard brings him strong and success. I think the satisfaction is more important than how much money they earn.
Most of all, we can measure a person success by his dream and his hard. Besides, we can measure it by relations from family and friends.

Making a Complaint in Person or in Writing
You have just received poor service while buying your new computer and feel you should complain. Do you make your complaint to someone in person, or do you prefer to write a letter of complaint? Include details in your explanation.
Despite the temptation to complain immediately, I think emotion can’t deal with problems as well. Complaining immediately gives some emotional satisfaction and the listener can see the very real upset I am feeling, but it might miss the point of complaining. I prefer to keep a cold head and write a letter which is more effective. My reasons are as follows.
First of all, a letter lets me document the incident and is less bad feeling in the end or yelling at someone. The clear describing of letter is more convincing and is emphasizing my attitude to this incident. Perhaps the service person needs more training or their store’s policy needs improvement.
Second, the purpose of the letter is in order to find the person in authority that can act on my complaint. If I argue at the time probably just a clerk to step in there to handles my complaint. Only the right person can thoroughly resolve my problems. The manager might choose to apologize or to offer me a discount of good service to customers.

What is the government should do
Governments are leaders of society, who decide on how the money spent will affect people’s benefits. Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible exploring outer space but others against the argument and think governments should spend the money for people on Earth. Therefore, I agree with the argument that governments should invest money in helping people for two reasons.
The first reason to support invest in people is that the tax paid to governments every year from people and the tax should be used on them directly. People and the society have many problems that need to be solved such as building public facilities to prevent floods. If governments build drainage systems well when typhoon comes, an accident like the 88 floods won’t occur. Governments should think more and spend more money improving facilities of cities.
The second reason is about stimulate economic development. Each material rises, governments have to enhance people’s consumption ability and faced the pressure from inflation. Governments need to spend a large amount of money on relief, provide a solution to house buying and helping poor family to find a job and something else. Recently, our government provides consumption coupons for people to use to stimulate economy which is a good example.

Chores

I agree with the statement and believe that children should be encouraged to help the family. They helping with chores will extend to their future. My reasons are as follows.

For example, helping with chores not only clean but also have to arrange stuffs. They can through chores to build up their organization capability. During the time, they can build pride and self-confidence.
Second, doing chores teaches them responsibility. Don’t let them think housework not their business; only parents have to do. Studying Alone or in a Group
Some students like to study alone. Others like to form study groups with other students. Do you prefer to study alone or in a group?
I prefer to study with a group and we have the same target to encourage our morale of study. Study groups just like a team work and we have to plan a schedule of the time and progress. By the schedule, it produces cohesion for us. For me, it’s effect more than study alone. The reasons are as follows.
First of all, study with groups can avoid me from lazy, because I have to follow the schedule with my group. The most important is that study groups will create an atmosphere to enhance the effect of study, so that makes me more into the situation. I think it’s a natural effect to people. Therefore, when I saw my partners studied hard and I won’t be lazy. I will keep going to study.
