Before written history, we know there was nobody who could write. Before writing was invented, stories were painted on cave walls.

The ancient people used pictogram which is drawing or picture to represent a word. The classic example of pictogram is hieroglyphs. Even without linguistic knowledge, people can depict stories or events by pictogram.

Pictogram can be used in numerous languages, such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English. A pictogram can be understood in any languages. It tells a story understandably only by using pictures.

Therefore, a road sign is also used worldwide as nonlinguistic symbolization.

According to the history, it can provesthat mankind is smart.
